New free TouchChat template: Music

Nine linked TouchChat boards for talking about music — a home board of music words and genres, a board for each of six artists with their albums and hits, and two Decades boards from the 60s to the 20s. Built on the WordPower 60 grid.

People are the way into music, so the artist boards open with a real photo: Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars. Beside each photo sit the albums and the hits, so a teen can ask for Billie Jean, Purple Rain, Vogue, I Wanna Dance with Somebody, Shake It Off or Uptown Funk by pointing at it.

The Decades board is for everyone else’s favorites: a tile for each decade from the 60s to the 20s, then seven hits from that decade across rock, soul, disco, hip hop, country, pop and K-pop, each with the artist’s name on the button and in the speech.

The home board holds the words for listening together — I want to hear, can we listen to, play it again, next song, turn it up, I like this song — next to the genres, instruments and feelings.

• Michael Jackson — Michael Jackson: Off the Wall, Thriller, Bad, Dangerous, HIStory, and fourteen hits including Billie Jean, Beat It and Smooth Criminal.
• Prince — Prince: 1999, Purple Rain, Around the World in a Day, Sign o’ the Times, Diamonds and Pearls, and hits including When Doves Cry, Kiss and Little Red Corvette.
• Madonna — Madonna: Like a Virgin, True Blue, Like a Prayer, Ray of Light, Confessions on a Dance Floor, and hits including Holiday, Material Girl and Vogue.
• Whitney Houston — Whitney Houston: her albums and hits including I Will Always Love You and I Wanna Dance with Somebody.
• Taylor Swift — Taylor Swift: ten albums from Fearless to The Life of a Showgirl, and hits including Shake It Off, Love Story, Blank Space, Anti-Hero and Cruel Summer.
• Bruno Mars — Bruno Mars: his albums and hits including Just the Way You Are, Locked Out of Heaven, Uptown Funk and Die with a Smile.
• 60s, 70s, 80s — Seven hits from each decade with the artist: Hey Jude, Respect, Stayin’ Alive, Dancing Queen, Livin’ on a Prayer and more.
• 90s, 00s, 10s, 20s — Seven hits from each decade with the artist: Baby One More Time, Crazy in Love, Rolling in the Deep, Old Town Road, Dynamite, Golden and more.
