New free TouchChat template: NBA

Five linked TouchChat boards for NBA fans: all 30 teams by their logos, East then West, the positions and the words of the game, game day commentary and the season.

A fan does not only name a team, they talk through the game while it happens. So the Game Day board is built for commentary, in the words fans really shout at the screen: nice shot, and one, he’s on fire, from downtown, bad call, I can’t watch, the GOAT, we’re winning, with the arena snacks beside them. A game is also two hours of noise, waiting, winning and losing, so the main board carries the feelings of a game, too loud and I need a break included, one tap from the first board.

All 30 teams are on one board, the Eastern Conference then the Western, each in division order and shown by its logo, so a fan finds their team by the picture they already know. Each button says the team name the way fans say it: Lakers, Celtics, Sixers.

What’s on the boards

• NBA — Me, friend, mom, dad, fans, mascot; watch, play, cheer, win, lose; my favorite, my team, game, basketball, tickets, jersey, bathroom; who’s winning, what’s the score, did we win, when is the game, let’s go; excited, happy, nervous, sad, frustrated, too loud, need a break.
• Teams — All 30 teams by logo. East: Celtics, Nets, Knicks, 76ers, Raptors, Bulls, Cavaliers, Pistons, Pacers, Bucks, Hawks, Hornets, Heat, Magic, Wizards. West: Nuggets, Timberwolves, Thunder, Trail Blazers, Jazz, Warriors, Clippers, Lakers, Suns, Kings, Mavericks, Rockets, Grizzlies, Pelicans, Spurs.
• On the Court — Point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, center, coach, referee; dribble, pass, shoot, dunk, layup, rebound, block, steal, foul, travel, defend; hoop, court, three pointer, free throw, jump ball, assist, air ball, swish, buzzer beater, shot clock, timeout, overtime.
• Game Day — Nice shot, what a dunk, and one, he’s on fire, from downtown, bad call, good call, come on, no way, I can’t watch, oh no, so close, de-fense, we’re winning, we’re losing, boo, whoo, good game, high five, the GOAT, replay it, how much time is left, turn it up; the wave, halftime, popcorn, nachos, hot dog, pizza, soda.
• Season — Rookie, free agent; Eastern Conference, Western Conference, division, standings, schedule, home team, away team, rival, playoffs, play-in, NBA Finals, trophy, championship ring, parade, MVP, All-Star game, dunk contest, three point contest, draft, trade, injury, stats, points, triple double, comeback, upset, highlights; next year.

It is built for WordPower 60 on TouchChat. That is the one thing worth checking before you download: a page laid out for one grid size will not fit another. In TouchChat you can see which vocabulary is in use under Menu → Vocab → Choose Vocab.

It is free, like everything in our library. Get the NBA template for TouchChat — or browse the whole free library.
