New free TouchChat template: Camping
Five linked TouchChat boards for WordPower 60 — camping, campfire food, hiking and national parks, from setting up the tent to stay on the trail.
A camping trip has its own words and its own moments: set up tent, roast marshmallows, I need a break, wait for me. The Hiking board carries the phrases for when a trip gets hard (I need a break, wait for me, I’m lost, stay together), and the National Park board carries the animals a child hopes to see alongside the park rules: stay on the trail, stay back from animals and don’t feed the animals.
What’s on the boards
- Camping — The main board — go camping, hike, mountain, tent, tree, outside, weather, feelings, bathroom, family and friends, and the social words, with buttons to the other four boards.
- Campsite — Tent, set up tent, pack up, sleeping bag, pillow, camp chair, picnic table, hammock, RV, cooler, flashlight, lantern, map, compass, bug spray, mosquito, sunscreen, jacket, boots, sleep, moon and stars.
- Campfire and Food — Campfire, firewood, stay back from the fire, marshmallow, roast marshmallows, s’mores, hot dog, hamburger, trail mix, granola bar, hot chocolate, cooking pot, grill, hungry, thirsty, sing and guitar.
- Hiking — Hiking boots, trail, walking stick, water bottle, map, compass, hill, mountain, river, bridge, waterfall, lake, forest, mud, I need a break, wait for me, I’m lost, stay together, this way and turn around.
- National Park — Park ranger, visitor center, park pass, junior ranger, take a picture, bear, deer, bison, moose, wolf, eagle, owl, canyon, geyser, cave, cactus, giant tree, sunset, stay on the trail, don’t feed the animals, be quiet and take your trash.
It is built for WordPower 60 on TouchChat. That is the one thing worth checking before you download: a page laid out for one grid size will not fit another. In TouchChat you can see which vocabulary is in use under Menu → Vocab → Choose Vocab.
