New free TouchChat template: Mickey Mouse

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto by name, with the friends, the Clubhouse, the doing words and the feelings that go with them — six boards for talking about Mickey Mouse and for talking about a day, with Mickey along for it.
Mickey’s friends are a set of feelings a child already knows before they have the word for them. Donald is the one who gets frustrated and shouts. Goofy is the one who is silly and falls over and does not mind. Minnie is kind, Pluto is loyal without a word, Daisy wants things her way, and Mickey is the one who fixes it. So the Feelings board here carries frustrated, silly, it was an accident and that’s not fair next to characters your child can already point to — which is how a cartoon becomes a way to say what happened at school.
What’s on the boards
- Mickey Mouse — The home board — the six main characters, then hello, please, love, play, dance, sing, hide, happy, funny, excited, magic, party, Oh boy!, my turn and together.
- Friends — The whole gang — Chip and Dale, Pete and Clarabelle join the six — beside the people in your child’s own life: mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, brother, sister, baby, friend and teacher, with hug, share, tickle, laugh and argue.
- Clubhouse — Toodles and the hot dog dance, then build, fix, count, draw, climb, jump, swim, ride, drive, win, lose and wait, with the things in a Clubhouse day — ball, boat, car, bike, wand, door, bucket, flower.
- Doing Things — Everyday verbs — run, walk, eat, drink, sleep, wake up, wash, brush, cook, make, pull, push, throw, write, read, dress, open, close — plus bed, dinner, lunch, snack, morning and finished.
- Feelings — Happy, sad, mad, frustrated, scared, brave, silly, shy, proud, jealous, tired and sorry, then it was an accident, that’s not fair, hurt, sick, hungry, thirsty, cold, warm, quiet, loud and better.
- Favorite Things — Cookie, chocolate, apple, banana, juice, water, bread, cheese and eggs; dog, cat, duck, horse, cow and bird; book, blanket, pajamas, shoes, socks, towel and toy; sun, moon, rain, storm, tree, outside, store, school and doctor.
It is built for WordPower 60 on TouchChat. That is the one thing worth checking before you download: a page laid out for one grid size will not fit another. In TouchChat you can see which vocabulary is in use under Menu → Vocab → Choose Vocab.
It is free, like everything in our library. Get the Mickey Mouse template for TouchChat — or browse the whole free library.
