New free TouchChat template: Swimming
One TouchChat board for swimming lessons and pool time: getting in and out of the water, the skills a swim teacher works on, what to wear and bring, and the words a swimmer needs to say how it feels and when they have had enough.
A swim lesson is full of small, important moments a child needs to be heard in: get in the water, wait, my turn, help, stop, finished. So those sit beside the skills a swim teacher asks for: kick, float, glide, blow bubbles, splash and jump, each with its own picture of a swimmer in the water, so kick shows a kickboard and not a ball.
The pool can be cold, it can be fun, and sometimes a swimmer is scared: a child should be able to say all three. It is one activity, so it is one board, with yes, no and teacher for talking with the person in the water beside them.
What’s on the pages
- Swimming: get in the water, get out of the water; swim, kick, float, glide, splash, jump, blow bubbles; stop, go, more, help, play, wait, my turn, finished; me, teacher; pool, goggles, swimwear, towel; cold, hot, wet, scared, fun; yes, no.
It is built for WordPower 60 on TouchChat. That is the one thing worth checking before you download: a page laid out for one grid size will not fit another. In TouchChat you can see which vocabulary is in use under Menu → Vocab → Choose Vocab.
It is free, like everything in our library. Get the Swimming template for TouchChat, or browse the whole free library.
Need something we do not have yet? Tell us what to build. Requests from families are where most of these come from.
