New free TouchChat template: Zog
One TouchChat board for Julia Donaldson’s Zog: Zog, Princess Pearl, Madam Dragon and Sir Gadabout, every lesson at dragon school, what goes wrong and who fixes it, the Flying Doctors, and the words for reading it together.
Zog is a story about trying your hardest and getting it wrong. Every year at dragon school Zog crashes, bumps his head or singes his wings, and every year a kind girl patches him up, until he finds the job he is really good at. So the board carries those words beside the cast: try, help, kind, sad, happy and proud.
The lessons are there for retelling it year by year: fly, roar, breathe fire and capture a princess, with crash, ouch, hurt, the sticking plaster and the doctor for what happens next. The ending has its own buttons: the golden star, the castle, the fight with Sir Gadabout, and the Flying Doctors. It is one book, so it is one board, with turn the page, read it again, the end and my turn for reading it together.
What’s on the pages
- Zog Story: Zog, Princess Pearl, Madam Dragon, Sir Gadabout, doctor; dragon school, fly, roar, breathe fire, capture a princess; crash, ouch, hurt, sticking plaster; golden star, the Flying Doctors, castle, tree, fight; try, help, kind, sad, happy, proud, friends; turn the page, read it again, the end, my turn.
It is built for WordPower 60 on TouchChat. That is the one thing worth checking before you download: a page laid out for one grid size will not fit another. In TouchChat you can see which vocabulary is in use under Menu → Vocab → Choose Vocab.
It is free, like everything in our library. Get the Zog template for TouchChat, or browse the whole free library.
